Open Billing → Subscriptions & Commitments in the personal or organization account that pays for the connection. Applications authorized with Pay with ShareAI and approved client services appear together. You do not give the application your personal API key.

Example connection: the paying account controls its monthly AI limit and can disconnect the service.

Set a monthly limit for each connection#

Open a connection and choose Set monthly limit or Edit limit. For example, enter 50 to allow up to €50 of AI usage per calendar month. The limit includes network cost and the agreed builder surcharge. Fixed subscriptions and separately confirmed product purchases are outside this AI limit.

Only you, or an owner or administrator of the paying organization, can change this limit. The builder cannot raise it. Limits apply to the application across its OAuth clients and refreshed tokens, or to the service across replacement Production keys. Reconnecting does not erase this month’s usage.

Understand the monthly summary#

Spent is settled AI usage. Reserved is estimated input cost held for requests in progress. Available to spend is the limit minus both amounts. The month resets at 00:00 UTC on the first day of the next month. Your wallet is shared across applications, while each connection has its own limit.

Enter €0 to stop further AI spending, or choose No monthly limit. Lowering a limit below current usage blocks additional charges; it does not refund previous usage. Request estimates are not a promise of the final output cost: ShareAI checks the final amount again before charging. A request that would exceed the limit fails without a usage debit. A streaming response may already contain partial text before this final error.

Credits and limits are different#

If your account has insufficient eligible credits, add credits to the paying account or choose a model covered by your credits. If the application’s monthly limit is reached, adding credits alone does not remove the limit. Raise it explicitly or wait for next month. The application can display a Manage billing link that signs you in and opens the correct connection in the correct account.

Billing recovery links expire after 15 minutes. They contain no access token and do not grant account access. A signed-in visitor still needs permission to manage the paying account. An expired link can be replaced by a fresh error response, or you can open Billing directly.

Disconnect an application or service#

Choose Disconnect, read the explanation, then confirm. This removes the connection’s permission to start new AI requests using your account. It retains usage history, previous charges and the spending limit. An application must be authorized again before it can resume. A disconnected client service needs a new approval workflow with its builder. Already settled usage is not reversed.

Review changes before accepting#

Use Needs review for new service quotes and proposed model or surcharge changes. Your existing accepted terms remain effective until you approve a change. Opening a page does not approve or charge anything. Activity & decisions retains the service’s approvals and changes.
