Pay for products and subscriptions

Enable Pay with ShareAI in Use Cases. In Subscription Plans, choose Publish free payment access for one-time purchases without a subscription or AI surcharge. Alternatively publish your subscription plans. Customers accept this contract when connecting their wallet; each payment is confirmed separately.

Enable Pay with ShareAI and obtain a customer OAuth token with payments. For subscriptions, publish a Subscription Plan and have the customer accept it. Amounts are exact EUR-denominated wallet-credit strings; do not send floating-point calculations.

Subscription checkout#

Use the same endpoint and a new idempotency key for the intended billing period with {"subscription":true}. ShareAI takes the price, title and period from the accepted immutable plan. Your submitted product amount cannot override the subscription price.

Confirm and verify#

1. Save the returned payment ID and checkout_url. Repeating the same request and idempotency key returns the same payment. Reusing a key with different terms is rejected.
2. Open checkout_url for the customer. They sign in and select the same personal or organization account used during authorization.
3. ShareAI displays the application, purchase, amount and payer. Only an explicit, authorized confirmation debits the wallet. Opening the link does not charge it.
4. Read the payment again with the same customer token. Fulfill only after status is paid; never trust a browser success message alone.

Only purchased, unrestricted, unexpired wallet credits can pay for products and subscriptions. Promotional credits and inference-only earnings cannot. The payer cannot pay their own Builder account. Insufficient credit leaves the payment uncharged; the customer can retry after topping up while checkout and authorization remain valid.

Each renewal requires a new checkout and customer confirmation. An active subscription period cannot be charged twice. The original grant must still be active when confirming; refresh expired tokens and create a new request if necessary.

Requests are scoped to the OAuth client and customer. Product and subscription proceeds are recorded separately from AI surcharge earnings and have a 45-day review period. The Builder’s default 1.5% fee applies only to AI surcharge earnings.
